Many amateur astronomers live in the light polluted suburbs. They often limit their observing to a small number of bright objects because they are unaware of the large number of fainter targets visible from the suburbs. In addition, they are also unaware of the large number of lesser known bright objects that are visible.
The following is a list of objects that have been seen from a moderately light polluted location using a typical amateur telescope. This list will be expanded as additional objects are seen and identified.
